Day Two - Bad Biology

Day two of my Halloween horror fest finds me treading on familiar territory considering my recent viewing of Lars von Trier's sadistic genital mutilation drama. Cult filmmaker Frank Henenlotter (Basket Case, Frankenhooker) returns after a sixteen year absence with a tale of insatiable sexuality and monstrous genitalia. Bad Biology follows a woman with seven clits who can't get enough dick. She fucks, kills and immediately gives birth to a baby which she leaves where it pops out or dumps in a trash bin. Meanwhile our male lead has a cock so monstrous that the women he lays with never stop writhing from their ongoing orgasms. A match made in heaven? I won't spoil the ending, but lets just say that Henenlotter takes his love of puppet/stop-motion monsters to ridiculous, and perverse, new heights.
The sheer amount of traumatic pee-pee related horror in the last few days is a little overwhelming. I am done with genitalia. Done. But taking into account my aversion to penis and vagina at the moment, this is Henenlotter in familiar territory. Funny and shocking and poorly acted, this is a fine exploitation film. I am glad to have this unique voice back in the game and can't wait to see what he does next. Okay, I can't take it. The finale of the film concerns the leading man's monster-dick smashing through walls and fucking the female tenants of his apartment building to death. There I said it. I feel better.
