 | Movies have played an indelible role in my life. From my earliest memories I have been obsessed with these mesmerizing images and the fantastic stories they told. This love for the cinema has followed me into adulthood and my affection for the medium has only expanded. Movies are the last great artform. And while mainstream audiences fork over millions for the Wayans Brothers' latest, or the new bloated Michael Bay explode-o-thon, there are still great films being released every year. Since the dawn of cinema films have been sent out into the world with a message reflecting their time and -with the great ones- our own. This site will chronicle a series of ambitious film marathons that will each take weeks and even months to complete. I will keep a log of the films, their history and the impact on, or their place in, my own life. Hopefully it will be interesting, funny and even enlightening (for me, at least). Possibly it will be the greatest thing you've ever read. Now dim the lights, turn off your phone and play along... |
